It seems to be an annual observation when it is time to compile our seed guide for another year that the past year was usually characterized by change. But even with that presence of mind I don’t know of anyone that was prepared for the changes that have taken place in those areas that influence agriculture. Critical areas affecting our customers ranging from politics, record grain prices, record falling prices, economic collapse, shortages, weather concerns and lender issues are only part of the volatile atmosphere we operate within. It is with the true respect that I applaud our customers for their tenacity, ingenuity and ability to weather the tough times the past year has presented.

     Change can be a positive factor, however. I am very pleased to announce the return of Pat Denor to Wolf River Valley Seeds. With his agronomic expertise, Pat will be most helpful dealing with your questions on how to improve your production. Pat has a strong agricultural background which helps him to bring a practical common sense approach to today's fast paced and high tech agricultural industry. Our seed offerings to our customers also continues to change as we strive to make available only the best hybrids and varieties as we add new and improved lines. Not only have our grain selections been very successful but our forage lines continue to prove themselves elite.

     The 2009 sales year has been most successful thanks to you, our loyal customers. We at Wolf River Valley Seeds understand how hard our customers work and we are dedicated to the same work ethic in providing you with the highest quality seed that you deserve. We take this challenge very seriously and hope to continue to deserve to earn your business. Agriculture is more than just a business, it is a way of life and it is made up of people, like yourselves, who have earned the respect of those around them through hard work and perseverance.
